Ladies, I’m really confused... I’m now nine days late (I’m usually 26 - 28 days cycle, the nine days late is based on 28 days) but no AF, and tests are negative. Tried testing on the weekend AF was due, and I’ve tested just now and nothing. I’m usually very consistent, so I’m really confused!

I don’t even feel like AF is on the way - I have felt a bit nauseous, the tablets I take can cause that but it’s been far worse the past few days, and I’ve been a bit bloated and constipated (sorry for TMI). Not sure if those are good signs or not?

Has anyone got any advice? I’m going crazy here - not sure if I’m being silly and should just wait for AF or what

This happened to me once when I was ttc my daughter, I had just had a really random cycle where I ovulated much later than normal. My cycle ended up being 47 days.

Have you been temping or using OPKs to confirm ov? X

I’ve been using OPKs - November was the first time I properly used them, confirmed it happened on 8th as was predicted by the app I use. I’m not temping.

The length of your luteal phase (number of days between o and period) doesn’t change, unless of course you’re pregnant. Although I’m not sure why a test would show negative.

The only other thing is I’ve heard of getting a positive opk leading up to ov but then ov fails and happens again a time later - that’s another possibility.

If you reach 2 weeks I’d speak to your doctor. Hope you get an answer quickly x

I would see GP now and have bloods done to confirm pregnancy that way or not. There could be a number of causes but this will help get some clarity.

You're probably having an anovulatory cycle, or are going to ovulate super late. I had all the signs of ov when I had my anovulatory cycle. AF eventually came on CD46, after about 10 BFNs. You can have a positive OPK and then not manage to ovulate, its more common than people realise.

Thank you - still nothing, so have phoned the doctor and waiting for a call back.

Happened to me loads, had all the signs that Ovulation would happen, +OPK etc. but then nada...long drawn out horrible cycle, it was frustrating - having an anovulatory cycle every now and then is normal (as long as it's not regularly happening)

Good that you are going to see your docter xxx
