Sorry mods if i've posted this in the wrong area but,

On my laptop whenever i receive an email with a PPS attatchment (I assume this is Powerpoint) it will not let me open it. It tells me to create an association for opening the file.

Does anyone know how I do this?

Is there not a box that says "choose which program to open this file with" or something similar? Then find powerpoint and off and away. It might be that you've never had one before, or you didn't save the setting..?

Theres 2 possibilities for this...

Either you dont have Powerpoint or Powerpoint viewer installed so you cant open it, or the association has been changed by another programme.

If you dont have powerpoint you can download a free viewer from here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/Other-Office-Tools/PowerPoint-Viewer.shtml

If you do have powerpoint or the viewer, then you need to create the association. Right click the file, and select "open with" then "choose programme". Select the powerpoint application, and tick the box that says "always use this programme for this file type" or something similar.

If that doesnt work let me know :)
