Hi girls, Ive just been going through my computor and its in a right old mess, is there anyway i can completely wipe my computor back to factory settings so i can start again with it as thres so much rubbish on it.

Have saved stuff to disk i want, but need my laptop back to speed again.

If you have backed up *everything* you want from bookmarks to pics and MP3's etc, then I'd reinstall (if its Windows of some sort).

Just deleting files probably won't have you notice much difference.

How much HD space etc have you got left?

I can't help much more than that as I gave up on Windows years ago. But thats what I used to do every now and again.

It depends what laptop you have, but some of them have a "restore to factory settings" option.

I know acer does, but not sure about the others.

Other than that, you can re-install windows as sherlock suggests...just make sure its a full re-install otherwise it may just put a new version over the top which kind of defeats the object

Also its worth making an "installers" folder somewhere that you can download straight into, so all your .exe files are in one place for things like msn, adobe, winzip etc that are downloaded. Back these up aswell, and then you dont have to download everything again :)
