Hi Ladies,

I’ve just joined the forum today. I’m looking for advice if possible? I’ve just come off the mini pill (Cerezette) two weeks ago as we are now trying for our second baby (have a 5 year old son). In the last week, since coming off the pill, I’ve noticed I have dull ache/bloated feeling in my abdomen area. Is this normal? I can’t remember feeling it after coming off when trying to conceive for my son, but that was a while ago so I may have just forgotten!

Thanks so much in advance for any advice. Xx

Hi poppy (I love your name ) welcome . I came off the pill last July had my withdrawl bleed , I didn't get my "natural" period for 43 days after thay but in that time I had all sorts of wierd things going on with my body like bloating dizziness feeling just generally wierd . I guess it was just my body getting used to not being on the pill anymore .
I had none of this when ttc for daughter which made me think was I pregnant? but after testing a couple of times I wasn't . X

I came off Cerazette last June, had my first period 6 weeks later but had terrible side effects for about 3 months. Thought I was pregnant at one point as had every symptom you can think of but was gutted when my period eventually came. Feel pretty much back to normal now but still no baby. Its been 7 months but I've heard can take up to a year for your body to get it out of your system xx

Hi, your situation is almost exactly identical to mine! I also have a 5 year old son and ttc our second. I came off Cerazette 3 weeks ago and have had the same symptoms. Also sore boobs and nipples. Pretty much every pregnancy symptom but I’m not pregnant. I just want to have a period so I know my body is getting back to normal. Did you have a withdrawal bleed? I’ve had nothing at all which surprised me, as normally even if I missed one pill I would bleed. Xx

Thanks so much girls for taking the time to reply and re-assure me. I had no withdrawal bleed but I did get regular spotting anyway on the pill itself? Our bodies are strange! Thanks girls and fingers crossed for us all. Xx

I generally didn’t get anything at all on the pill but had had a little spotting mid December so assuming this is why I didn’t get a withdrawal bleed. I have bought some ovulation tests but I’m not sure if they will make me more stressed lol. Trying to just remaining relaxed about it all at the moment although that’s easier said than done! Best of luck to you all! Xx
