So I'm thinking that when LO reaches 4 months that I might combination feed. I want to BF morning and night feeds and give bottles during the day. Any advice on the best way to introduce this would be greatly appreciated. Do I need to start off with 1 bottle a day for say a week and then increase this or can I go straight to all bottles during the day?

I'm not sure but I'd say gradual is best, for your supply purposes really x

yep i think they say introduce slowly, say one bottle for a week then another and so on, i'm also thinking of doing this in a few months time, ii tried him with formula about a week ago and he would only take the 3rd brand we tried i guess as he is so used to breast milk, he didnt like the taste much but took it eventually although not tried since then

I thought gradually also for supply and to prevent sore boobies as much as possible. Have never tried formula even though I've had it in house from before he was born. Here's hoping he'll take it.

Hi! I combi fed from 5.5-8months. Def best to go slowly! I replaced a bf with bottle every 4 days or so, and it took quite a while for boobs to adjust!.... Do u give ebm at the mo? I did that a bit from when LO was about 6 weeks so I knew he would take a bottle. We were lucky he had no issue with formula- even after 5.5 months of nothing but breastmilk! Got OH to give the first bottle of formula so that he was more likely to take it. I found combi feeding really good coz I felt under a lot of pressure bf. I gradually stopped bf on the day except morning and night feeds but then he dropped the night feeds himself and after that I just did the morning feed for 3-4 weeks before stopping completely. Good luck with it xx
