could any help with this situation that i have.

Liam is going to be 3 in January, but he seems to have trouble grasping colours. and i am talking about the primary colours. when i ask him what colour something is, he usually gets it wrong. i asked him to pick up a red building block and he gave me a yellow one then a blue one.

anyone had any experience with colour blindness.

Sorry i dont really know much about it TBH.
OH is colour blind with the colours red and green, only certain shades which he will find it difficult to distinguish between the two when they are together.

Found this link dont know if its any help to you

As far as i am aware it doesnt affect OHs day to day life as he never really mentions it.

thanks for that. i have found a bit about children and colour blindness and i think that we may have to wait until he is 4 as some children dont grasp colours very well. Liam knows that Thomas the tank is blue but show him a blue t shirt and he will say it wrong. but apparently that is common in young children.

i will ask the doctor though.

My dad is colour blind and it doesn't affect his day to day life either... at the time i think he wanted to be in the RAF when leaving school and couldn't but as far as im aware now his day to day life aint affected!!

Yep OH wanted to be in the RAF too but couldnt due to the colour blindness :(

are u sure its the colours and its not just that he's getting mixed up with their names? does that make sense, i mean he could be seeing red as red, yellow as yellow and blue as blue but forgetting which one is called which? try holding up a red and a green for example and asking if they are the same, or asking him to put all the red in one pile, all the yellow in another pile etc, and if theres a pile with 2 colours in then youll kno for sure?

im sorry im probably not much help, iv no experience of this!
