How much coke is it safe to drink per day?
And I mean regular, not diet.

I used to drink lots of coke - but have reduced it to one can or small bottle a day - had major headaches to begin with but have got used to it now.

The problem isnt the sugar its the caffeine - so it makes no difference being diet or normal.

I read in the one of the books in my bounty pack to keep caffeine intake below 300mg a day - a can of coke is 40mg

dont think the sugar in it is that good for u either.. mw told me that diet coke is fine.. stay away from orginary as its empyt sugar..

My personal opinion based on some things I have been reading is don't drink it at all, not even diet stuff. It is full of horrible things and even the sweetners can hurt your tummy or give you headaches.
I have been completely caffiene free and coke/diet coke free for about 18 months now and I have seen a massive reduction in the amount of headaches I was getting.
That is just my personal take though, everyone reacts to things differently :D

my mother gave me and hubby loads of bottles of the new coke orange but i cant drink it it gives me a huge belly ache now so im off the stuff
manda xx

Diet coke has aspartame in it, which isn’t good for you regardless of whether you are pregnant, or not. In fact Aspartame is in all number of diet products. If you want to read more about it then a good book is "Skinny Bitch" by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin (obviously the book itself is not relevant for pregnancy as it is a diet book but has some very interesting general food information).

This website also has more information http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-side-effects.html

Of course the main producers of aspartame will tell you that it is harmless, of course they have sponsored all numbers of studies that "prove" this. Personally I would rather not consume anything that is chemically and artificially produced.

Fizzy drinks should be generally avoided anyways for women. The carbon dioxide used the make the drink fizzy causes calcium to be excreted from the bones and can cause osteoperosis in later life...seemingly the increase in osteoperosis has been linked to the increase in fizzy drink intake.

Diet coke, especially, has a lot of carcenogens in it which leads to various forms of cancer...

In general Coke is bad....just look what it can do to pennies and rust...after all you wouldn't drink rust remover would you???

Its just a shame coke tastes so gooood.....

I'm sure I read somewhere that if coke had been invented today it wouldn't receive a license and would be banned.

I love diet coke, shame it rots your guts :(
