My personal opinion based on some things I have been reading is don't drink it at all, not even diet stuff. It is full of horrible things and even the sweetners can hurt your tummy or give you headaches.
I have been completely caffiene free and coke/diet coke free for about 18 months now and I have seen a massive reduction in the amount of headaches I was getting.
That is just my personal take though, everyone reacts to things differently
Diet coke has aspartame in it, which isnt good for you regardless of whether you are pregnant, or not. In fact Aspartame is in all number of diet products. If you want to read more about it then a good book is "Skinny Bitch" by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin (obviously the book itself is not relevant for pregnancy as it is a diet book but has some very interesting general food information).
Of course the main producers of aspartame will tell you that it is harmless, of course they have sponsored all numbers of studies that "prove" this. Personally I would rather not consume anything that is chemically and artificially produced.
Fizzy drinks should be generally avoided anyways for women. The carbon dioxide used the make the drink fizzy causes calcium to be excreted from the bones and can cause osteoperosis in later life...seemingly the increase in osteoperosis has been linked to the increase in fizzy drink intake.
