Hi guys,

As most of you will know, Cobys weight dropped 3 weeks ago 2 lines in his red book, he went from the 75th line down to the 25th. He was feeding like mad and being sick alot too.

I changed his milk to the second hungrier milk and for a while it seems to work, he stopped being so hungry, but then he started being VERY sick and it looked almost like powder, he would scream with it too, so i took him off that and put him back on teh first milk.

got him weighted yesterday and he is back up on the 75th line! so in 3 weeks he has done so well.

He is still feeding loads tho, wakes up twice a night sometimes (altho last night was only once).

he is on 2 meals a day and 6 to 8 bottles. the HV said not to put him on a 3rd meal, but instead to increse teh amount i give him for breaky and dinner, my question is, isnt that just the same as giving him a 3rd meal, only instead of breaking it down in to 3 he has the extra morning and night?

hmm did that make sense? lol i dont see what diffrence it makes to do it my way rather than hers.

do you get what i mean

what you think??

xxx

it does make sense hun, its really what you are happy with hun, if your happy giving cody another meal then give him a third meal or try and give him a dessert after his meals and see what happens.

I think it would make sence to give 3 smaller meals than 2 large ones. Really don't agree with HV advice sometimes.

i would go with your instinct on this if you want to give him 3 meals then do it besides he may not want bigger meals morning and evening! i told my hv today i was weaning she didnt bat an eyelid yet when you speak to different ones they nag you about the 6month thing!!!! matthew is on the 50th percentile now dropped from 75th but they are happy with him but then i should think so he weighs 16lb 7oz!!! :D

Hiya Layla

Brody is on 3 meals and I do struggle to get him to have milk in the evening. I am now giving him his tea at about 4pm so he's hungry enough to have more milk to help him sleep! When he was on a later meal he didn't even sleep better anyway.

With 3 meals I am always looking at the clock as he needs brekkie at about 9, lunch at 12, tea at 4, it doesn't leave much time for me to do stuff inbetween and fit his naps in etc.
I'm not saying don't do 3 meals, but just be aware it might not solve your problems :?

Hi

Just wanted to say great job on getting him back up there
