How often does everybody clean their LO ears out. my liil ellie always has grubby ears and i leave them for as long as i can (as a nurse once told me that cleaning them too often can over stimulate and cause more wax) but her ears get so caked in wax i cant leave them. anybody have any suggestions x x :D

i havnt got no suggestion except id clean emilys ears out if she gets waxy but i wnt go too far in. i done them last night so will leave them for abit but keep eye on them.

think this topic might be health related but i could be wrong ;)

mod will move if it is

Never stick anything in their ears. Just clean around with a sponge.

Hiya I moved this over cos the "ask a mum" section is for pregnant ladies to ask their questions....baby sections are for baby questions.

Cheers

I only remove wax that i can get out with my little finger and do it only when i see it to be honest..I've heard the same thing about wax build up so avoid

I've always used cotton buds and he seems fine, though now I'm wondering if that's why he gets wax, surely he'd get it without using cotton buds

There's this saline spray that you can get from the pharmacy called Audiclean - I think it's suitable for babies - and it helps clean the ear canal and clear out ear wax.

lukes ears get so filithy i tend to just use my little finger to dig it out but its a full time job!!

I do DS's when I'm breastfeeding him, with my little finger

I only get from Libby's ears what I can get with a finger....and I think I've only done that about 3 times in her life.....she doesn't suffer from overly waxy ears......but a snotty/ bogey nose....I can't leave that  I'm always cleaning her nose :shhh:
