Chunky wool

I really wana make a nice chunky blanket to keep in the car for h, i just wondered if anyone can advise me a good wool and what size needles i will need, thanks

I'm currently knitting a really soft but thick chunky blanket using Rico Pompon wool and size 4 mm needles. I only have 46 stitches. Go to Youtube to find how to cast this wool on.

Thanks hun is it the bobble wool? My mum made him a blanket in this lol its really soft but too small hehe she also made him a cardi in same stuff

Yip it's the bobble wool. My sister knit her LO different size ones to fit pram and car seat. The ones I've knit for friends so far all have had 46 stitches and I used 2 balls of wool.
