Our wee one is due on December 22nd and we'd like to include the festive season in her name somehow, she may of course come late and then it'd be a New Year name... We have her first name chosen as Iona but thought a festive middle name would be nice.

Thoughts so far are:

Iona Joy Montgomery
Iona Holly Montgomery
Iona Eve Montgomery(thought this would apply to Christmas or NY eve)

For NY I like Iona Hope Montgomery but OH isn't that keen....

Our surname is Montgomery...

Thoughts anyone?

x

those names are all lovely :) maybe you could try Noel ? xxx

Holly is my favourite.
What about noelle (pronounced no-elle)?

Thanks ladies I like Noelle too but worked with a VERY odd lady named that a few years ago and it's put me off it, silly really but... I think Holly is probably our joint fave, Joy is mine and Eve is hubby's but we both like Holly... Of course she could spoil it all and be a NY baby lol!! x

Natalie actually means born on Christmas day - an idea if she did actually come on Crimbo day lol.

Not sure why my parents went for that when I was born in June

xxxxxxx

lol - I really like Natalie - she's been told she's NOT coming on Christmas day lol!!! It's funny though eh, I have a friend with a July baby called Holly... cute name but not for Summer I'd have thought! x

I have a friend called heather Christmas ... But maybe that's TOO Christmas for you lol

What about "winter" as a middle name?

Or if baby goes overdue and into jan how about using January?

Or even star or angel from the tree?

I like Joy the best. I wanted that as a first name for a girl, but my husband won't agree :( I think it's a lovely name. What about belle? As in jingle bells?! Not sure if that's a bit of a tenuous link!

Belle was my initial favourite but OH says no... I suppose Iona Belle is a bit 'I own a bell' lol! I love Joy and Holly and Ivy too that's cute, will see what day she arrives! Official countdown can begin tho, Tesco has selection boxes in! Yay! Thanks ladies!! x

Holly! My niece is called holly & she's a Christmas baby:) x

We're thinking about noelle as a middle name but prob won't use it as were not too sure if its too Christmassy so...

Noelle?

I was going to suggest all the ones that other people have! the only other ones i can think of are Robyn or Carol? X

This might be too far out there, but what about Star? Iona Star sounds quite nice I think.

Thanks ladies! Robyn is lovely, I reckon she's going to be late so might look at new year ones too... Things meaning new or fresh that kind of thing... If she's born on Hogmanay then Eve it'll be :) getting very excited now!! x
