i was just wondering if ne one knows of somewhere i can get decos from??

im afraid im not religious so i have no idea.

You could try googling or something or look on ebay. :)

niether am i budge but family sed it was ' rite thing to do' and i kinda agreed good reason for a party lol (sorry to the religious)

No offense to the religous amongst us, I have nothing but praise for those who have faith, but I am getting my little Rebecca christened cause Dale is Catholic, and was confirmed etc as a child (but he believes in sex b4 marriage, divorce etc..), and I am looking forward to a good drink after. The way I see it, is that I had to carry her for 9mnths, go thru immense pain, my body is ruined forever so I deserve a good drink! I look forward to the gathering after. Plus my lil one is a honey, and I want to show her oof, but I still don't know how to load picsd! I am daft....x 4 A levels and all.......

i just had a little party without the religious christening bit. Like a welcome to the world party.

You can also have naming ceremonies. Neither me or OH are religious 9I was but ost my fath) so decided to have one of these. yOU CAN HAVE A PARTY AFTERWARDS TOO, AS WE WILL BE. Sorry for shouting but I can't be bothered to re type even though it would have probably taken me less time then to have typed all these extra words. I give up

I wanted a naming ceremony-bespoke one, but they are bloody expensive!

I have been quoted £150. How much are christenings?

We didn't have any decorations at Naomi's christening party, but there was a christmas angel on her christening cake! A small glass one. I can't remember where I got it, I only remember MIL robbing my decoration box to do the cake! *L*

How about twisting white crepe paper into paper chains and having ribbon streamers and white balloons? You can get lovely pearly white ones... and your florist might have some ideas, as they use all sorts to decorate bouquets - white feathers, ribbons, paper ribbon, little fairies on sticks etc.

Pm me...

Rubie's christening isn't costing us a penny. The church is free, the club we are having the party at afterwards is free, and OH works for a bread company so the buffet will be free too. The christening gown is a family heirloom and her dress for the party afterwards cost me £1.50 from an NTC nearly new sale :D

Oh right, I'd just feel too hypocritical so guess we'll have to fork out

What's wrong with being a hypocrite? I'm one I don't care

Its just that because I was a christian but lost my faith I would personally feel very uncomfortable.

Ah right sorry I didn't realise. I don't know whether I am a christian or not but I want Rubie to be involved with the church
