My good friend is a primary school teacher and has to deal with some really sad Kiddies :( , I hear about so many love deprived children and they have such unhappy lives.

This forum fills me with hope tho :D theres not one person on here that doesnt think the world of there babies, its just wonderfull :D

I totaly respect you all! your all great

oh id better let mine out from under the stairs then tasha

i know whtat you mean though tasha
it breaks my heart to see some kids.
today i went to tesco and coz the kids are off there were loads in and around the supermarket. Some were so dirty they couldn't possibly have jhad a wash let alone a bath for a few days and they stunk to high heaven.

I went to get some clothes for my three and the prices of the clothes in tesco means no kids should go round looking scruffy. I got emily a whole outfit for less than a £10. That was joggers a t shirt and a top. BARGAIN!!

:( I hate seeing things like that too its so sad

I know what you mean tho, you can get nice clothes at resonable prices theres no excuss :talkhand: , the main reason those kiddies were like that is becuase mummy has to bill her smoking habbit  :x oh and instead of soap its proberly cider

i know just what you mean Tasha - there are so many people on here from all kinds of backgrounds and situations with lots of different troubles yet everyone loves and cares for their children despite the challanges they may face. makes you realise that many of the excuses these people make for why they cant care for their kids are just that - excuses. not heard one yet that hasnt been faced by someone on here without them neglating their kids, whether it be PND, single mums, money troubles or divorce.

 love you all - you are all such fab mummys (and daddy's Maddis dad! )

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Its a cryin shame for some of these kiddies, its not fair!
It breaks your heart dont it!

My parents foster two little kids. They just started in March this year, on a long term placement (they have custody of the kids until they turn 16 or finish full time education).

I can't give too much info out on the net. It was absolutely heartbreaking when they first arrived. The little girl's 5 and was wearing her brother's (who's 6) cast off clothes. They'd never been on holiday or even to the hairdressers! Everything they owned was second hand, even though foster carers get money to buy birthday presents. They've been in care since the little girl was 9 months old.

At least I know that my mum & dad will show them a little bit of love.

 Aww thats just wonderfull I love hearing about succesfull adoptions too, I envy those who do it, I would and maybe one day in the future :D

I think fostering is something I might like to do when I'm older, I don't think I'd do it while I have little kids at home. I have a huge amount of respect for anyone fostering. It's so hard to take on kids when they know that noone cares about them.

The worst thing so far is when they were supposed to have an access meeting with their dad. My mum took them to the centre & waiting for 90 minutes for this man, who never turned up. These little kids had been so excited about seeing their dad, he only has access every 2 months and he couldn't be bothered to see his own kids. It made me cry.

They've been quite difficult, but what else would you expect from two kids who've hardly ever been hugged & had NEVER had a story read to them!

My mum has been fostering for over 10 years-it's so rewarding to see the little mites progress from coming into care riddled with nits etc, turning out to be clean and start taking care of themselves and pride in their hygiene.
