has anyone appiled for child tax credits? i sent my form off yesterday just wanted to know how long i'l be waiting for it?

ive been claiming these for nearly 5yr, theyre usually really quick, plus its backdated from the date you claim also so not too bad

Hi i applied for my tax credits and it was back with me within 2 weeks. Also they did back pay me from the week he was born. They'll usually send you the form of how much your entitled to, also what dates they will be paying you and your back pay will be in your bank within a week. Thats what happened to me anyway. I'm sure (could be wrong) that if you apply before they are 3 months you get back dated money & if its after 3months you could lose out

yeah we will b missing out on about a mth cos we didnt realise we could claim them but we have my MA, OH's wages, child benefit and r overdrafts so we arent that bad off for the time being *touch wood* lol!!

i dont know if its the same as everyone elses but Jamies is goin up from 17.45 a week to 18.10 from april?

Yeah you might just miss out if you didnt apply before your baby was 3 months, they'll pay you from your claim date. Oh and mummykay it all depends on you and your partners income on how much you get, you have to be earning under 30,000 joint to entitle you to anything. xx

I sent Finlay's off in November and it took 3 weeks to come through. Though when it did they spelt my surname wrong so make sure you check your confirmation booklet really throughly!!

it took about 3 weeks for madis to be sorted but we did get a lovely helpful £200 cheque at the end (it came through when moo's was in hospital)
