Have you ever had chickenpox yourself? If not then definitely best to avoid being around her too much if you can. However saying that, chickenpox is even contagious before the spots appear. Your midwife or GP will be able to check your bloods for immunity if you ask them. I'd probably get in touch with your midwife for the bedt advice as I'm not medically qualified myself!
