Perhaps he was trying to be funny? What is so chav about crutches? Most of my friends who've been on crutches got hurt whilst skiing, not massively a chav past-time!

Oh mrsmc I feel fat and completely unattractive atm too! I do weirdly try and make a joke with the OH about it and I'll agree with him if they're nice looking but I think he does it more to wind me up and doesn't actually mean it like your OH. He can look as long as he doesn't touch lol!
