Cervic Mucus before period if pregnant?

What is your cervic mucus like just before your period (like the day before and on the day) is due?

I am wondering as we are trying to conceive and my period is due today. I've had a few negative HPT so far so don't want to test anymore. But just yesterday and today, I've been getting more lotiony cervic mucus and the feeling of always wet down there....I run to the loo thinking it's blood but it's not.

really hoping I still have a chance for a positive HPT this cycle but don't want to get my hopes up though.

So are we suppose to be "wet" just before period arrives or are we normally supposed to be dry if we are not pregnant.

i had alot of cm when i was due so u may still be in with a chance

I hope so....but I am sooooo afraid of getting another negative...I think I may ball my eyes out and be broke at the same time from buying all the darn HPTs!!!
