Cerezette after misscarage

Hi firstly can I apologize if this is in the wrong section, to be honest I'm not sure if there is a section or if I should even be talking about contraception on this forum so apologies if I do upset/ offend anyone but u were all so helpful before,

I had a miscarrage that started end march ended April, my hgc levels took a very long time to drop but waited it out and didn't need any medical intervention, my last visit to the early pregnancy unit we decided to be prescribed cereZette as a short term method of contraception until we decided if we were ready to conceive again. In between miscarrage and starting taking the pill we had Afew episodes of protected but maybe not as careful as we should have been e.g withdrawal method, the midwife told me to start taking it using protection for 7 days then take a pregnancy test in 4 weeks to make sure there was no pregnancy from in the middle . I have been doing research which says you should not take cerezzette if there is any chance you are pregnant. I know it is slim chances but I'm Now scared incase I was, after what I went through I wouldn't want to do something myself that would put a pregnancy at risk , any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

hey hun, ummm not too sure what to suggest tbh. Its doubtful if you have been taking it since the mc you will be pregnant, have you actually had a period after the mc yet?

if you really are worried about it though and you *think* you may be pregnant i would go and have your HCG levels tested at the doctors to rule it out 100%

then you can relax, grieve, and move on sweety xxx

I haven't been in your situation, sorry for your loss. But I was taking cerazette and got pregnant whilst on it, I was 6weeks pregnant when I realized, so had been taking the cerazette until then, so far I have a healthy pregnancy I think they say you shouldn't take it in pregnancy because there is a higher risk of having an eptopic

maybe go to the drs just to be sure you're not

Thanks to both of u, I only started taking it a week ago so was on condoms/ withdrawal from while mosscarrying March April until a week ago , just didn't want to continue for 4 weeks if I could be doing anything . Its doubtful I am pregnant as my hgc levels stayed high so I doubt I would have ovulated but because the midwife sed there was that chance I panicked. It's nice to know that you took it for 6 weeks and still had healthy pregnancy, there probably just saying t like everything nowadays to cover there own back . Thank you x

Sorry missed the question I don't think I have had a period but had bleeding on and off since, had my main bleed 26th march-4th april, because my levels were high it was probably left over tissue but there's always a chance it could have been a period, very doubtful but didn't want to risk doing anything I shouldn't be x

its hard for you to ever tell if you ovulated or not, best bet is to see your GP i would say sweety x

I didn't know I was pregnant for 3 months and took the same pill as you. I'm now a mummy to a healthy 10 week old so don't worry just relax x
