I started using Clear Blue opks today. It says to use after your longest period of sleep, but that would be about 5am for me and I don't want to have to get up and do it then as I won't get back to sleep. If I use it when I wake up later around 7 or 8am will it still work?

I got a 'low fertility' today ... is that just because it's taking a baseline?

I actually got ovulation type pains today and yesterday (cd6 and 7) which is really odd. I really hope these work ... they were nearly 2 quid a test!

Low fertility as far as I know means time to start baby dancing and do it every other day for the next week. You should get your high fertility in the next few days. Either that or you've just ovulated and the lh surge is on the way back down to normal levels.

What you could do is wee in a contained when you get up then dip it when you wake up later?

If you have the dual hormone low fertility means there is a low chance of co caption on that day. Flashing means having fun fetility then static smiley is high fetility.

When I was using them DTD every other day then when started getting flashing smileys switched to every day. I sometimes went straight from low to peak with no high.

Yes first day is baseline . How long are your cycles? Cd 6 is early to ovulate unless you have a 20 day cycle?? They are expensive if you order from Amazon cheaper. I got my BFP the month I used them so bit biased.

That's encouraging that you got your BFP when you used them Summertime! Awesome. My cycles are between 28 and 24 days. I got the circle both yesterday and today. I'm not sure about using stale urine...have tried that on other opks and it hasn't worked. I'm also using my usual cheap ones alongside the CB just in case. Am worried they won't work for me.

I tried using the clear blue but I can get good results with cheapies so I stopped using them just due to the cost. I've always tended to do OPKs in the evening after I get in from work as I'm hopeless at remembering things in the morning! Also, I thought that was the better time for OPKs. I seem to recall using them as _GG_ said.

I got my first flashing smiley today - so exciting. Dtd and kept the CB result to myself. Trying not to put too much pressure on DH.

Is it usual to get 4 fertile days using these? Or could it be less? Feel like I'm about to ovulate - got that heavy ovary feeling. I feel much more in control with these - my normal opks just show the LH surge and apparently for women over 30 they are not necessarily that accurate...I think it's possible to ovulate just before a positive opk.

Aiming to dtd every other day.

I don't say much about OPKs to OH although I think he knows what I'm up to. I don't get any physical symptoms of ovulation so it's more of a reassurance thing and also helps predict af a bit more accurately. I'm confident with the rough dates that I ovulate so we just aim to cover them all which is why I just get the cheap ones.

I was doing that but we were really struggling and I was so anxious so I feel better with these. Also turns out I only got one day of flashing smiley yesterday, full smiley today, but I had ovulation twinges (I think) this morning even before I did the test. Really chuffed we dtd yesterday...I might not have done if I hadn't had the flashing smiley. It was only cd9! We have a busy day today so may not get the chance. Even yesterday was hectic with the cat having to go for an emergency vet appointment!

I had a feeling I was ovulating just before my pos opks as I'd usually get twinges the day I took the test. From what I've read it's not as effective dtd after ovulation so am hoping this will up my chances!!

Just found this article that says women their 40s may be ovulating before they get their pos opk test and women in their 30s may be ovulating the day of their pos test.

Now I'm really confused - just did my normal cheapie opk expecting a positive and it's negative. CB says 'peak' and I haven't got of pos on the cheapie ones yet...
