I know this is very common, just wondering if anyone else is suffering with it? I've had it all day, some points worse than others but can't seem to shake it.

I've had this quite a lot over the past few days, glad I finally have a real reason. ;)

I have a bit of a trip to make next weekend as hubby and I are going away and I am dreading the car journey. I try and sleep for the duration, or have the window down but I struggle to sleep or even get comfortable enough to drift off.

I also get hot flushes, my first was quite bad, the night before I tested. My face was really red and burning hot to the touch - I actually thought I'd had an allergic reaction but there was nothing at all that I had done or used that was different.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Hi Miss July

I had sickness (was never actually sick) from 3weeks + 4 and it was all day, every day. Only advice I can give is to eat little and often. It stopped for me in 9th week but as you know we are all different. I was just about to buy the travel sickness bands and then it just stopped! Sooo many things gave me the boak it was not real....

Apart from that, how are you feeling today? Still on cloud 9??

Thanks hun.

I've been snacking really, I pick at stuff during the day and then have a proper dinner when hubby gets home. I've also tried napping to ease it but I sometimes wake up feeling worse. :(

Other than the nausea, I feel fine. Still in disbelief and wondering if it's really happening, but yep, on cloud 9!!

How are you hun? x x

I feel great - Tri 2 so much easier apart from my back problems giving me grief! I wonder how far along you are? I guess about 4 weeks but with your cycles you could be with me lol. I used predictor on my first pregnancy with Joshua - no doubt about the result. When is your Oh off again for next test? I tested lots in the beginning but just one predictor and the rest cheapies. I still have 4 left in the drawer so much being a POAS addict lol.

I don't doubt Tri2 is better, can't wait to find out where we are. Just had some sharp pains in my boobs - normal??

Really? I've never used a Predictor before, wasn't sure how reliable they are but can't find anything on Google about them showing evap lines so mine must be real.. ;)

Next day off is Friday but we leave in the early afternoon so won't be able to update on here til the following Monday.

I only have my last Predictor, saving it for next week! x x

I have this exact kind of nausea hon, it's all day every day without actually being sick. Recently bought some of the travel sickness bands and they really are helping, would def recommend you get some particulary for your trip. Other than that make sure you eat regulary and don't let yourself get too hungry - I find this makes it worse so keep some snacks like dry biscuits or fruit in your bag. For the hot flushes why not try one of those mini hand-held fans? You can get them in the travel section in boots or superdrug, my mum swears by one for her menopausal hot flushes lol! Hope you feel better soon and have a lovely trip x x x

Thanks hun, might try and arrange a quick stop in Boots then.

Boobs have started to get a bit more tender/bruised and I get sharp shooting pains in them as well - it's so worth it for little bean though!! x x

i sometimes get shooting pains in my boobs hun, but its normally just 1 at a time, doesnt last very long, but is pretty uncomfortable! The joys of pregnancy :-) hehe.

Good to see you finally posting in the pregnancy section :-) xxx

Thanks hun, feels so weird and quiet in here but I'm so excited. :)

I'm so looking forward to going to my GP with my test and waving it right under his nose. :yay:

Haha that will be great hun! Your gp sounded like a right plonker, all that faffin about he did with you and getting blood tests done etc! I would be tempted to say "in your face!!!" :-). It will be good for you to get a dating scan too so you can find out exactly how far along you are, could be further along than 4 weeks!! :-) xxx

Definitely hun. If we went by my OPKs I could be just over 10 weeks already! Part of me thinks I should get a digi confirmation AND my next test before going to the doc but two positive tests can't be wrong right? :)

Plus if I have low HCG then the digi might not pick it up and I'd be worrying non-stop. Hopefully with my long cycles I would get my scan date pushed. Not really sure to be honest?

2 positives can't be wrong hun! :-) i'd be tempted to try a digi and see how it goes. But i see how you would worry if it wasn't picked up, though i think the digi should pick it up!

Not sure how the docs would work, I think it may be best to change docs though (or consider it! :-)) then you might be able to put a special case forward to get a sooner scan date. Otherwise you may just be put on the normal list and have to wait a few weeks for a scan date... not sure though hun! I only think that because of your GP's past record .

xxx

Oops, just to clear it up - I've had one positive test, going to do the second on Friday and hope it's darker! :)

If it is, we'll invest in a digi. :yay:

I have a feeling my GP will hold us back and keep us on the normal list but we're actually already waiting for a scan date anyway as we went to see him on CD82 and he "referred" us - we phoned up the scan department to make sure we were listed and we weren't (bloody GP! :strangle: ) so hubby explained and they said we're now listed and just need to wait for the appointment letter. We might get seen earlier after all! :)
