Sorry ladies if it's a bit TMI, but I'm not sure who else to ask.

So at last I got hold of canesten to treat my thrush (3 pessaries course + cream). After using one pessary for the first night I noticed that some bits of it came out :( probably a third of the pessary did not dissolve. It says in the instructions that I should seek advice of my GP if this happens, so I called my surgery and asked for my GP to call me. He hasn't :( I called again later to remind them, but still haven't heard back.

What do I do now? The surgery is shut over the weekend. I will use my last pessary tonight, don't know what to do then! Do I need to get more? Or just ignore it and hope that 2 pessaries and 2/3 will do the trick?

From experience that happened to me before and it still worked for me hun. So I wouldn't worry hun xxx

Don't worry. That's what's meant to happen. Can last a few days. X

Thanks ladies :) it does say in the instructions that you should speak to a doctor if you notice undissolved pieces, so I guess it's not perfect, but never mind :)

I'm finished with the pessaries, just doing the cream now, and hating it :( I think it makes me more itchy than ever! Hope it's gonna work...

Oh I wouldn't panic I.love

This happens everytime I use it after a while it makes it's way back down and generally I feel a lot better!

Thanks Rachy :) I'm currently in a panicky mood generally, I know I can overreact a bit at the moment - too much stress!

I find the cream sometimes makes the itchiness worse, have you tried natural yoghurt? It's really soothing and helps xxx

Yeah the cream does sting :( I tried yogurt a few times before, it made things better temporarily, but then the itchiness returned... I think I'll give the cream a couple more days and maybe use yogurt as well x
