Can babies get head lice?

Really random question but I was thinking about it in bed last night!
Touchwood Laceys never had nits but it's going around her school ATM.
If she does get it, can she pass it onto charley? He has quite abit of hair so I'm sure they can grip to it but also can I use head lice shampoo on him? Im not sure if that would be too strong for him!!

if they did get id use the comb method tbh i dont like using the shampoo and constantly go through my girls hair as they have long hair and my youngest ds has had them a few times my boys havent had them though

I brought a comb the other day so will use that instead! I don't use shampoo on him ATM, that's why I was abit worried. I'm dreading the day Lacey comes home with them!

yea he could get them, touch wood monty has never had them and he has long hair down all day at school

I always remember Judy as in Richard and Judy off this morning say he twin babies got nits off her older child and she was breast feeding and the babies pasted them onto her but down there lol

my girl had nits offand on for few yrs bain of my life buy some tea tree oil dilute into water and spritz ur girls hair each day befor school to repel them
