Hey girls :) just a wee question! I registered with a new doctor where I've just moved to.

My pee had been really cloudy, and really smelly for a couple of weeks. The smell was really strong. Sorry TMI
I asked about it at the docs and was told to drink lots of water  I've done this but if anything the smell is worse.

I hadn't had any pain but I've got pain just under my ribs now, it's not there all the time it comes and goes but it comes every time I pee.

I want to go back to the docs but before she just said drink more water!! Useless.

Does it sound like it could be a kidney infection? :( Do you think I would be able to phone my old docs? I regret moving now! xxx

Didn't want to read and run!
I'm sure you would be able to phone your old doc hun, and just ask to speak to them. You could always try NHS24 maybe? I get something similiar but its only first thing in the morning its quite cloudy, but i don't get the pain. Not sure if it could be something to do with dehydration... Or maybe a type of infection. Either way, if you are worried hun, go ask a doc :). I don't know if you are with NHS doctors, or private. You should be able to contact your old doc though i would think. x

I would go back to the docs hun, you dont have to se the same person again, ask to see someone else instead if you werent happy with them

Sounds like you have a UTI.. Go back to see gp with a sample and ask if they will test it, they will do it there and then and if it tests positive they will give you antibiotics.

Oh chick.. have you a midwife and have you spoke with her? I had a urine test and they found blood in mine; no one called from the GP, so on calling they informed me there was no further investigation, even though my urine had been dark and cloudy. Mine wasn't smelly though; water is meant to be good when pregnant, maybe you could try and drink more of it, I have been. If you doctor says there is nothing to worry about then I would imagine there isn't. Good luck x

Hey girlies :) phoned the docs and got another doc who gave me antibiotics, it feels great not running to the toilet every 2minutes lol! Merfairy, I have started drinking much more water, its wierd i actually prefer water to other drinks now and i didnt used to drink it :) xxx
