Took Maddison for her 6 week check today and informed do that her reflux was still bad and that she was having alot of feeds in one day with between 4 and 6 ozs in each bottle .

He then told me to give her water in between to see if that helps to reduce her milk feed and i told him that i had already tried that but wasnt much for water .

He then told me there was many herbal teas a baby could have under 4 months camomile being one and fennel and dill .

He told me though that it had to be weak.

So i popped up town and went into herbalists and they told me the same they also said that it helps with colic .

I thought nah it wont work but brought some just for her to drink.

So anywahy i gave it her and GEZZZZZZZ i thought i was going to fly off the sofa    she let out this god almighty BURP and i mean it sounded like a mans burp and before i knew it she let out 2 more massive burps.

Her colic hasnt been half as bad tonight she as also been letting off little burps .

Soooo it has helped maddison out with her colic as far as i can tell :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

oops forgot to add does anyone know of anymore herbal teas a baby can have ?

No, but glad I read that there is something that can help - the thought of colic scares me!! :)

I live in Greece and they swear by camomile tea, they even give it to the babies before they've even had their first milk, ie when they're newborn.

It also helps to soothe them if they're crying and yet not hungry.

I dont know if you can get it in UK but MILUPA do a range of these teas specifically for babies, they come in granule form and you just add it to water.

Hipp organic make a fennel tea especially for babies but it's difficult to get in shops I think.

Sounds like it's working really well for you, that's fab!

Colic's a bummer.

Jake has fennel tea sometimes. I couldn't find the Hipp Organic one so I just bought the Clipper one in the normal tea ailse.
