Camcorder help

I've been using the video part of o/h digi camera to record things but its now broken completely so I want to get a new video camera.

I know nothing about the new cameras that are out so I need help.

TBH, if you can afford to, I would go for a HDD camcorder. It records straight onto the built in hard drive. They're really good

i've got a flash memory camcorder and love it

i can't comment on that model - i work in telly and (like most telly bods) have a thing about sony camcorders, which i really rate.

if you go for a flash memory camera, you can get large sd cards from www.mymemory.com or www.crucial.com far cheaper than on the high street

So whats the difference between a hdd and a flash memory camera?

is it the memory card?

If so how do i get the hdd vids stored on the comp?
