And I'm pooping myself!!!!

I don't know why, I had an elective booked in for next week anyway. But after being stuck in hospital since Sunday with my blood pressure, they've decided to bring me forwards.

In my mind I had at least another week to prepare for this, at home with my son and husband. Instead I'm here on my own up at 6am thinking the worst!

I'm so excited and nervous to meet our new son, it's like I've been ready forever and never been ready!!

Sorry I'm rambling, just so nervous! Any words of wisdom from those who've had an elective? Last time my son was an emergency so I literally had about an hour to come to terms with it!!

No words of advice LM, mine was an emergency last time too. Just wanted to wish you good luck xx

Good luck. Keep your mind focused on meeting your wee baba, and the fact that you will get home all the sooner now! Keep us posted :-) xx

Good luck! Don't worry, medical staff know what they are doing :)

Enjoy meeting your baby ;)

Exciting news but can understand your nerves too. Best of luck and look forward to hearing your little one is here!!

Oh my elective was soooo much better than my emergency. No labouring beforehand, no rushing. All the staff were smiling and friendly, really put me at ease. It's an operation so you are bound to be nervous, just focus on the fact that you'll have your little one in your arms soon.

Hope it all goes smoothly xxx

This is what I'm thinking and hoping Mrs G81. Thinking back to when I had my son I'd been awake for over 24 hours and had been in labour 12 hours before the section! Today I'm just going to get lots of rest!!!

You will be fine! I had my little boy 9 days ago. I had a failed induction so an elective section was booked for the day after. I was so nervous- I'd never been in hospital before let alone had an operation.
The whole team were lovely though, it was very calm and my nervest just turned to excitement!
Good luck lovely. Just focus on meeting your little man xx

You'll be fine! I had an elective with my second (after an emergency with my first) and that was brought forward a week, so I had a week to prepare rather than the fortnight I'd thought (although not the hour I had for my emergency one). Elective sections are calm and nothing like emergency ones.

Good luck for tomorrow xx

My elective for my breech son was lovely and relaxing. The atmosphere was calm and I felt in control. I fed him in recovery. I haven't had an emergency so can't comment but good luck for tomorrow. So exciting to think you'll meet your little one xx

No words of advice as I'm a first time mum but just wanted to wish you luck xx
