Hi,

My work does a scheme called Busy Bees which means I would get 33% off Childcare each month with vouchers that are taken out of my wages and therefore not paying any tax or NI on them.

Does any mum use these at all / had problems / think they are good or bad value?

Just that it sounds like a good scheme but maybe too good to be true?

I am just signing up for the scheme. It is an inland revenue scheme and they limit the amount of your salary which you are allowed to use to buy the vouchers. You can buy upto £55 per week. Seeing as I am having to pay £44 per DAY this barely scratches the surface off the childcare but every little helps. NB both parents can get the vouchers unfortunately hubbies company don't do the scheme and I can't find a way of being able to claim that money back where your employer isn't signed upto it.

alans work provide these they are very good value :D

I run a nursery school and lots of my parents use these vouchers - they are for real and it is very simple for a childcare establishment ( even childminders) to register for them. I would definately say go for it - I will be when I use childcare.

Agreed, there isn't any catch with them. Go for it.

Fortunately, myself and my DHs companies both offer voucher schemes, it saves you a lot of money in childcare costs.
