Burst blood vessels in both eyes

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone experienced their newborns having burst blood vessels in their newborns and if so, how long does it take to heal? My poor little girl has them in both eyes to the point where you can barely see any white Just want my gorgeous little thing to have the whites of her eyes instead of red

She's 6 days old now and still waiting for improvement.

Midwives have said it's normal but don't know how long it'll take to sort itself out. I know it will, but now she's opening her eyes more and more I'd love them to speedily recover.

I've googled it can take up to three weeks so I'm going by that and if I her eyes haven't improved by them I'll take her to the doctors.

My Son had a burst vessel in one eye when he was born. I too was told it was totally normal. I think it had healed with 4 weeks x

My youngest had it in one eye too, I think it took a few weeks to disappear x

Okay, thanks all. Just have to wait it out I guess. I will take her to the doctors in two weeks if no improvement!

My sons took longer than that - I think it was 2 months to go completely. I pushed so hard I burst the blood vessels in my eyes too, so we looked crazy with both of us having red eyes lol xx

Think my girls eyes are going to take a while. 13 days old today and whilst the red has eased there is still plenty there
