Well, I've had a baaaaad cough for a good year or so, but as I was smoking about 10 a day then I didn't really pay attention to it, bad I know When I found out I was pregnant I quit smoking, but three months on I've still got a hacking cough and a bad burning sensation in my throat. Also, I went to visit my parents in London recently and the cough got 10 times worse, and trying to breathe properly was awful.
Just got back from the docs, she totally put my mind at ease - apparently many people who quit smoking develop asthma afterwards, and seeing as I had it as a child it's not that great a stretch that I may have it again. And that explains the breathing problems in the London air. As for the burning, apparently that's plain old pregnancy-induced indigestion, and is really common. I feel a little silly for having convinced myself I have throat cancer, lol
