Hi guys

a few things, do any of you find your bump is changing shape all the time, one day it is high, the next low, do you also find it harder to move some days and feel really heavy then other days more comfortable?

I find it very strange.

Also, totally unrelated but was just wondering if I have the right info, is it true I am entitled to

my maternity pay
child benefit

and that is it , is it aftter a year we could possibly claim tax credits if I went back to work. Do I need to fill forms in like now, am I missing out on doing anything and what is the bounty pack I keep hearing about ?

advice would be sooo appreciated

theres loadsssss of info about benefits and tax credits in the "working & benefits"section of this forum.
there lots of useful links where you can work out what you are entitled to and how much :)

You may be able to claim child and working tax credits depending on how much money you have coming into your home between yourself and your partner. As soon as baby is born fill in your child benefit form and get it sent off and get straight in touch with inland revenue about tax credits. Most people are entitled to them even when they think they won't be. The threshold for what you earn is quite high. I hope that makes sense. x

I know what you mean about the change in bump! Every day I think it is my last day of being an innie but so far my belly button has yet to pop. How big my belly button is depends how baby is lying :rotfl:

Are you working? Employed at present or in the past year or more? There are two types of maternity pay, one from your employer if you qualify and one via the Gov/Jobcentre if you are not working at present but have in the qualifying period for long enough.

Both of these will require a MAT B1 form from your MW before you can apply. Go see her and get it. If employed you need to sort this out with your employer as to when you wish to take maternity leave and start being paid. If not working then you need to contact your local JobCentre who will point you in the right direction. You'll be sent some forms to fill out.

You can start being paid maternity allowance if not working from 11 weeks before your due date.

There are loads of threads in the working section of the site on this sort of thing. Have a look there, follow some links and do some research :)
