When does this happen? Mine looks lower today, and cant feel baby's movement's as much. Could it be that it's just lying differently of that it has actually dropped? My hips have been quite painful recently, but I just assumed that was being preggers and ignored it.

i don't know when this happens, i guess it varies from pregnancy to pregnancy. is it more comfortable now its lower as mine is so uncomfy when he is wedged up by my ribs.

I can't say my bump is noticeably lower although MW says the head and shoulders are now well into my pelvis.

I think like rusks says it depends on where you have been carrying the baby, I think baby has been quite low most of the time anyway, not been kicked in the ribs at all!

My bump has always been low. I've not been kicked in the ribs yet either, or anywhere else (except low down quite a few times if you catch my drift). Bubbly likes to kick my dinner and coffee and anything else on my bump now it is bigger though.

my bump dropped really low in the past few days! btu the midwife said she has been full engaged for over a week...

i can breath again :D

Mine stayed really high - it didn't really drop until late in labour - I was glad about that because one of the women in our antenatal class was walking like John Wayne for a few days after her bump dropped - it made the last few days of her pregnancy really uncomfortable.

Prior to going into labour Maddie got to 3/5 engaged. I guess everyone is different.

But also it's normal not to feel movements quite so much during the last couple of weeks as baby runs out of room. Won't be long for any of you guys now!

Thanks for all that! I think I'm probably just panicking (again lol) as I was born 5 weeks prem, and I'm really wanting my baby to stay put. As I'm 35 weeks today and my bump suddenly looked very different I think I put 2 and 2 together and made 90 000  Like Becky and Ice Cream its always been a low bump - I just looked really fat for ages, not pregnant lolol.

It does feel as if baby is lower, less rib pain and it is easier to breathe (which with my bug is LOVELY!), and I've been getting more pelvic pain, but at the end of the day who knows? It doesn't mean baby is about to shoot out and that's the main thing :D Ian is away this weekend so hmmmmm worrying wifey alert *sigh* Thanks again all sooooo much and glad it's not going to be too long for any of us! all round!
