Probably more for mums who are breastfeeding, where did you get your clothes without breaking the bank?
Can you do with normal clothes(bearing in mind it will be autumn/winter time)

I have bought couple of cardies with buttons, also heard there are special scrarfs, are they any good?

How does it work with a scarf?

I do have a couple of nursing tops from mothercare and h&m but I mostly use normal tops and wear a strappy vest underneath so that I can pull the top up and the vest down and be completely covered still.

I get the vests from primark for a couple of quid - they are nice and long so they cover my bumpy bits. They do loads of colours but I tend to wear mostly black so buy black ones x

Good question! Was wondering the same.

Have seen some sort of cover up scarf thing called a butterfly, but looks to me like it'd draw more attention than discrete feeding when out and about.

Will follow the suggestion of Miss and head to primark for some vest tops to wear under normal clothes.

When is it best to buy nursing bras? And where is good to get them?

I wear lots of v neck tops and baggy neck jumpers.

Emma x

I went and got 2 nursing bras at 38 weeks hun - when they measure you they allow for your milk coming in etc. You don't want to leave it too late and not have any but you don't want to get them to early and them not fit you when you have baby.

I would advise only getting 2 at first tho (1 to wash and 1 to wear) as your size will change due to weight loss and you will need to get measured again a few weeks later. I went from a 40c to a 36DD. Xx

Ohh also - I totally agree with you saying that specialist scarfs and stuff actually draw attention to the fact you are feeding. X

They are colourful also so people will definitely look. Probably a normal scarf/muslin square will be better?
I have to investigate vests then

I found muslins also drew attention to me but that's because they don't do them in black lol

If you wear white/pink/light blue you would be fine tho hun. Although I find the top I pulled up gives me coverage.

Practice indoors first and you will get used to it/see what works for you. It does get easier in time/with practice.

Georgie has "picnics" everywhere now lol

Been wondering the same thing too! I'm like you miss, only wear black, so most bf clothes are out, but hadn't thought of putting cheap vests under my normal clothes, thanks!

Nps Sarah - I actually bought a white one once.....dunno where it is now tho lol x
