Breastfeeding glider/ chair...

...anyone got one of these or know someone who has that wud reccomend, or is it a waste of money..

i am planning on having a comfy chair for when im breastfeeding, but i dunno whether to go the full thing nad have one of the proper ones like this:

I was looking at one of them myself, but I asked my mum and OHs mum who both said its a waste of money, because at the end of the day... its just a chair and a stool.

I know that Hayley had one for Jacob's nursery, but I'm not sure how much she uses it. She did get it much cheaper from somewhere online, but I can't remember where.

Maybe drop her a pm, I'm sure she won't mind.

Skinflint here bought a blow-up breastfeeding pillow from Boots for a tenner... Plus we've got a rocking chair and I'm thinking about re-covering the cushions, and getting OH to do something to the rockers to make sure me and baby don't fall out

I think its a waste of money.... In a few months you will be feeding every where and any where in the house.

I would say its a waste of money too. I've only been breastfeeding for just under three weeks and i can feed Thea anywhere already. All you really need is a pillow hun.

One of my reasons for doing up old rocking chair was just to have something to help me stand up in the 3rd tri lol.

We have just bought one of those chaire mainly for when we feed our baby at night. We had a normal rocking chair last time which was just as good and we only bought this because it wasn't really expensive.
We found ours to be invaluable last time as it meant that we didn't bring our baby out of the room when he woke in the night.
I am not quite sure if the stool will be any good but Keiran likes to sit on it in the nursery.X

Probably completely unnecessary but have you sat in one and tried it? They are sooooooooooooo comfy so we thought we'd treat ourselves!

best buy.... honestly!!!! i love mine... I put jacob in his own room from day 1 so i was using it twice a nite... i even changed jacobs nappy on the stool... he'd stay asleep if i rocked him gently whilst changing his bum.... Even thou he sleeps throu now i still use it for his first feed at 7.30am...

I didn't buy one until Olivia was about 3 wks old and found that I didn't have a nice comfy chair/place to feed her last thing/first thing and during the night.

I bought mine online from Ebay for £99 including the footstool and at the time Woolies were also selling them for £99.

I really wouldn't be without mine now, it's part of our routine to give Olivia her last feed in the chair and it's been so handy for the night feeds.

They keep their value well also, second hand retail is generally around £60.

waste. just get a v cushion and shove some pillows behind you on the settee.

We have a sofa bed in the nursery which I use to feed Ellie during the night as I can lie down and go to sleep again while I feed her. If you have the space I would highly recommend it. We already had the sofa bed as we use it as a guest bed when relatives come to stay.

I just bought one of these so that I could breastfeed during the night in the nursery. It is such a comfy chair. If I didn't have it I would have to take baby into bed with me or go downstairs......

we don't have a spare room or anything to sit on upstairs except for our bed and this chair! lol

i agree they are a nice design and are comfortable but i cant justify spendin that much money on a chair lol!!

get ur bum on the settee with a V pillow and loadsa scatter cushions and ul b happy as larry in front of the telly while ur feedin her!!

I second that!! Me and hayley bought them at the same time for the web,.... lot cheaper then mothercare etc.

I love mine, dont know what i would do without it, I feed ellis on it at nighttime in his bedroom, and I know i will still use it when he is bigger for reading his books etc cos its soooo comfy!!!

Take it from two people that have them and def get one!!! xxxxx
