Breast Feeding and Periods

Hiya

I was under the impression if you breast fed you didnt have periods....However I started very lightly bleeding yesterday. (just cant remember from 11 years ago when I had Beth)

Is this normal or should I be worried ?

Im not taking any medication or started the Pill yet.

I think it is possible to have periods, as they say you can still get preg. while breastfeeding and not to rely on it as a contraceptive.

Are you 100% breast at the moment? I would mention it to your HV but don't worry as I'm sure it can happen.

Yes Im 100% breastfeeding at the moment, and hes gaining weight (now 12lb 10oz) and they are more than happy with him, so I must be producing enough milk.

Im going to ring my HV tomorrow, sure like you say its nothing to worry about...but Im a born worrier...so im worried !! lol lol (if that makes sense!)

am not breastfeeding, but have still not had a period yet!! Emma is now 11wks old .
