Breast feeders who are weaning

How often are your babies feeding now? K has really started to cut back during the day and is far too nosey to bf when there are other things going on. Should I now offer just water in his beaker during the day or breast milk in his beaker? He always has water with meals.

maybe offer water with meals and some bm at other times? i read that once theyre on 3 full meals a day they dont need the day feeds as much. i hope someone who knows what theyre on about can help ya hun lol

Ummm maybe bm in beaker if he is too distracted to feed from u in the day? I asked at the clinic this week if there is a minimum amount of milk they should still have at this age and was told 1 pint, altho that doesnt have to all b in liquid form. Hard to tell if u are bf tho just how much he's having! Ethan still has 2-3 bf's in 24 hours but has def cut down on the amount of milk in the bottles he has now that he has some solids 3 times a day. Sorry I'm not much help xx

Still lots of night feeds last night he thought having an hour long feed at 2am would be a nice little treat! Not for mummy tho! I've given him mainly water during the day today and he was happy with that.
