I know we should be getting them by this point - but i can't really remember having them this early on before. I have been having deffinate bh for 2 weeks now and mostly in the evenings, they are not painful but enough to have me taking a few deep breaths. Anyone else having bh ?

Nope absolutly none. Well I dont think I have anyway lol. No idea what they would feel like! I had a few pains at the bottom of my bump the other day, and wasnt sure what it was, maybe that was them lol. Im useless!

Yeah mine are getting worse by the day they dont so much hurt but take my breath away too! Its such a weird feeling lol x

They feel like a tightening around tum - not a sharp pain or anything like that - seem to be having loads tonight and they last for over 2 mins - really don't know if its anything to worry about x

Although i cant be sure if im experiancing them as yet although i dont think ive felt tightenings as much poss a little? i dont know but when it happens more often i'll be soon to know i guess lol.x

I've been having them for about 3 weeks now...i get the pain and tighening in my tummy and round into my back. Do you think this means i will have bad back pain in my labour??
I had to double check with the consultant at my last appointment that it was BH incase it was something serious but she wasn't really bothered

Just to add i had one the other day which lasted about 2-3 minutes...i checked and have been told only if they are really close together should i get worried.

Thanks girls they have eased of now - with number four you would think i'd be more chilled but i just don't remember having them until a week before birth last time!!! i've always been overdue but i think with these and the fact bubs is head down bubs might well be a few weeks early either that or i'm going crazy and bubs will be late like others hehe

evajo, I have just read this post as I think I am experiencing bh now! I dont recall having them with my first so I dont really know what they are like, but from what you have described it sounds as if thats what i have now. For the past couple of days i have been having a strange feel across the whole of my tummy and at first i thought it was baby moving across beacuse it feels like baby is pushing against my skin, but this keeps happening and today it felt like my skin would burst because it was so tight! I am seeing my o.b on thursday so will mention it to her, have yours eased off completely now?.x

I am still having a few a night but not as many as before! I can certainly recognise them now but go with the flow and practice my breathing to ease them - they have got me quite excited thinking that babe is so close to being here. After a long walk today i noticed them too so perhaps i had been over doing it before - i have no choice but to take it easier in this heat. How r u coping?

Hmmm....I am starting to get quite irritable and frustrated! I think its mainly because I am feeling so uncomfortable in the past couple of days, so am hoping it will get abit bettter!!
