Is 'John' too grown up for a baby boy?

Considering that he will spend most of his life as an adult, this makes it OK doesn't it? Honest opinions please :D

I think its ok,

you could call him johnny as a baby then shortern it to john when hes older

Hi Sarah,

I like John and would like to use John if and when we fall, however my partner has his heart set on Arthur, (now that is an old name) and i think that is to old for a little mite, but again viewing as you are i would agree with you, once you get to toddler age it would not be that bad.

Go for it John is a traditional name and I think it is really nice.

Hope that makes sense

Sarah

Some friends of mine fostered a new born who was called Colin  Even if people think it's too old they get used to it, plus if you named him Johnathan or something it would just get shortened to John anyway.

If you like it, then you go for it. It doesn;t matter whether people think it's too old.
