Another one from me!

Does your LO still have thier milk from a bottle? My HV said Emily should be having it out of her beaker by 12 months??? Can't see that happening very easily! Everytime she has water out of it she drenches herself!!!!

i give amelia juice out of a beaker nd she does get wet so tend to do it at home or when stripped off hopefully they'll get the hang of it x

Herbie has water from beaker with lots Mess, im a terrible mammy my other two had bottles of milk till they turned 3, everyone wants them to grow up I cant see the harm myself. Dolly stopped her dummy and bottle a few wks ago the day after her 3rd birthday and she was brilliant . Mine had bottles for comfort and I'm a big softy lol

Lacey had milk from her bottle until she was 18 months old for bedtime. It was still like her bedtime routine thing.
Charley has juice in a cup but I'll carry on putting milk in a bottle until at least 12 months.
Is Emily 12 months already? That's gone so quick!! x x

I've been training Isla with a beaker since 4 months, but she's better drinking out of a glass or cup!

Tegan is now getting the hang of water out of a beaker But still has milk out of a bottle x

morgan has milk from a beaker 3 times a day when hes in his highchair. he pours it everywhere on purpose, if I had a pound for everytime I say "not upsidedown!!" Id be loaded  but when he is actually drinking hes really neat, try the ones with just one hole to start with, he had that for a bout 8 weeks and now hes got the 2 holes but the 3 hole one goes everywhere so its too quick for him! You could try the colic milks cos theyve got thickener in them so they dont flow as fast as water.

he still has a bottle for his bedtime feed and its really annoying I have to use bottles to measure it all out cos there arent measurements on most of the cups

Drake drinks water from a cup ( he loves water!) By 12 months I'm gonna hope to have him on a bedtime bottle only...we'll see how we go when we get there.

asda sell these sippy cups i swear by them x

^^ ooh i might try one of them, a real bigboy cup!!

they are fab because they have a silicone rim thet only lets the drink out when they suck it and can be drank from all sides most cups are hard to drink from as little ones usually put the spout the wrong way round and it spills everywhere this doesnt and prepares them for grown up cups. they are around 3 pound each but also come in a twin pack. I think they are a winner x

my lo has only just got the hang of drinnking water from his beaker and i think im gunna stick to milk from the bottle for a while. i posted a thread about it a while back actually cos i heard that they should be weaned off the bottle by the time they are 1, and i always see older babies with bottles so i was a bit confused!! i dont think it can do any harm, my mum said i had milk from a bottle till i was almost 3 but had water and juice from a beaker!!!

Its dentists who want them off a bottle, I went to a talk on it at the community centre. Water and milk is okay but juice etc really should be from a cup according the the dentist!

360 cups are amazing!! I think the no bottles by 12 months is a but ridiculous tbh! K was probs ready for it by then, but I kept her on her bedtime bottles xos I knew the comfort of it would be good for her wen she had her op! I had a nightmare with Es drinking as even with bottles she was terrible with it! As in, she'd be lay on my knee with a muslin bunched up between her and my leg and she'd soak all the way thru that and both of our clothes

I got rid of her bedtime bottles about a month ago and she's not missed them! I'm a big believer in only milk in bottles, but I did used to put water in Es, cos she woul literally spray it across the room from a cup! She's outgrown it now thank god!

Im aiming for this. I still giver her milk in bottles though, but shes so confident with beakers and cups that I should switch it over really, but I just love our bottle times :(

Now shes in double figures Ill do morning bottle and bedtime bottle but I think Ill switch the day bottles to the beaker now. Then when shes 11 months it'll be just the bedtime one. I might keep the bedtime one for a bit longer than 12 months though as this is our snuggly time :) Paige has no teeth though so I dont mind too much at the moment. All her water and juice is from cups and beakers though, I never gave her those out of a bottle. To me, milk is for bottles, anything else is just wierd.

Tiny, tommee tippee beakers have 1/2 holes in them, are free flowing and have the oz on the side :)

Im gonna have to get me some tommee tippee ones, money money money!!

I've just spent 30 quid on a walker for her too!

The Tommee tippee one is the only one Tegan will drink from x
