does anyone know of anything that keep bottles warm so its easy to feed while out and about. we are going to ireland in a few weeks by car and ferry and the journey will most probably overall take about 5-6 hours. we will feed before we go but he's bound to need another feed before we arrive at our destination. making a fresh bottle before we go is bound to go cold before we need it how do i keep it warm for at least 4 or 5 hours? any ideas anyone? and in general how do you all go about feeding on the go? i would use ready made obviously but the milk we use doesn't come in ready made.

If it needs to be warm why not just put the powder in a container and add it to water from a flask? Fisher price do a good small flask and it's also got an outer part for warming bottles - you add some water from the flask to it (though TT closer to nature bottles don't really fit it).

Alternatively if the milk can be mixed at room temp and your LO will take it that way, you could always just give it at that temperature. Boiled water in the bottle, keep the milk powder seperate until you need it. This is what we do when we're out.

I definitely wouldn't keep milk out the fridge for 4 or 5 hours after it's mixed up.

If I were you id make it up just before you leave with freshly boiled water, bang it in one of those thermal/insulated bottle bags - should keep it warm for 5hours, it wont be cold thats for sure... Rmbr once LO has had some of the bottle chuck it after about an hour, as this is when bacteria start to grow. if you add the powder to the freshly boiled water like I said above, this should kill any bacteria in the powder, so its good to keep for a while.

Apart from that, get one of those powder tubs and put the powder in the room/car temp water as and when LO wants it, that would be good for when your out and about in gennerall too!! :)
