All is going well with mum and baby Andrew but she will take quite a bit of time to update cos she has GBS and they are keeping her in till tomorrow to monitor the baby. Shes really fed up so hopefully she will get on line in the hospital. Does anyone know if the baby will be totally in the clear from the infection after 48 hours and she had antibiotics in labour? We don't really know much about it as it was only picked up 2 days before he was born.

High dose intravenous antibiotics will clear up any GBS infection including more serious ones such as meningitis...

Hopefully everyone will be well enough to come home soon
