Booking appointment at 5+2?

Hi, I’m currently 4+2 and I rang the drs to book my booking appointment yesterday and I told them when my last period was and they gave me an appointment for the 18th when I’ll be 5+2. I’m really worried that when I get there that the midwife won’t be able to do anything because it’s so early but the receptionist booked me in for then? Has anyone else had a booking appt so early?

Had mine around 6 weeks. The midwife came and did mine at home and all she took was blood pressure, height and weight, filled in my book with my past medical history and birth history asked a little about OH and went on her way. I was given blood forms and my notes to keep and scans came through the post x

Ahh thank you, so 5ish weeks isn’t too early then! I was worried the midwife was going to be like err go away and come back in a few weeks! Haha!

You can get the ball rolling as quick or as slow as you want.
my last pregnancy I didn't register with a midwife until I was 10 weeks because I was under the early pregnancy unit with bleeding.
This pregnancy I got in touch as soon as I found out as I was going on holiday so wanted things booked.
Trimester 1 is a slow and stressful Trimester in my opinion, we tend to second guess any ache and pain etc. It's. up to you x

I know I struggle with anxiety anyway so this is making me even more anxious so I’m kind of glad that I’m seeing someone soon to help put my mind at ease a bit! X

I had something called 'first contact' (which was actually at 8 weeks and a total waste of time) so it's possible it might be that and she'll get you back later. If it is the full appt, as loula says they'll just do all the basic checks and forms so it doesn't really matter when this is x

Your so right Loula.. I booked gp appt immediately to be sent to EPU.. now just waiting for another scan and bloods to se how things are..

Ahh I know this is my first so I’m already nervous but I can’t even imagine how nervous I’d be if I’d previously misscarried! When are you due Cinnamon2?
