Booked to see the doc

Just booked in to c the doc hope shes nice. i hate doctors think their all crap
last pregnacy had bleeding and pain and doc made me wait 2wks for a scan turned out to b ectopic! so i could have colapped and died
had to have op and tube removed
now found out i'm pregnant again (4 days ago)
so booked different doc for thurs at 9.20
but what do i say????
hospital said that i need to have a scan as soon as i'm 6 wks
so do i tell her that or will she know?

Hiya

I would just explain that you are slightly worried as you had a previous ectopic and have been told you should have a scan at 6 weeks. Just ask what you do from here. They should know that it is routine to check you early.

Hope you get a nice doctor this time. I am really lucky cos my GP is great.

Hiya,

I'd just tell them what you just wrote. Say your pregnant (wait for the compulsory "congratulations") and then say I've had an ectopic pregnancy in the past and was told when I became pregnant again I should be booked in for a very early scan to check it's not happening again. Just see what she says then type thing. I'm sure she'll be nicer than your last GP, we have a few real pieces of work at our GP surgery so when I call up I ask for my appointment to be with one of only two doctors I actually like. So if you do like her next time you need to go just call up and say you'd like an appointment with Dr...... and you should be booked back in with her again. it's nice in a way you build up a rapport with them too!!

I would put your food down and say you have to have scan otherwise you will worry and that isnt good for the baby.
