Aww congrats how exciting! 
My cousins had a budget wedding, they kinda made a theme of it, all the wedding party wore things they had revamped, borrowed or got cheaply from charity shops/asda or wherever, they had a big pub lunch with all the family followed by a party in the garden for everyone else. They all looked fab and everyone had a great time because it was all quite relaxed and informal, no stressing about perfectly laid plans going awry. I'm sure you will have a lovely day whatever you do
