I was going to post this in Third Tri, but thought it might be better here :)

Tomorrow I am 35 weeks and there has been no sign of boob leakage, oh apart from once when a tiny little crust had formed, hardly anything though!

Could I ask when your boobs started leaking or when your milk came in?

I only started leaking when I began breastfeeding - nothing at all during pregnancy - no sign of milk at all.

Only very occasionally towards the end of my pregnancy I would wake up with wet circle patches on the bed :rotfl: Seriously though I wouldn't worry about it. x

I've had some but not a lot. Barley anything these past couple of weeks or so....

I was going to post about this too kazlin, so I'm glad you beat me to it. I had some drops at about 27 weeks and a tiny bit from 1 boob last week. Does the amount you leak prior to giving birth bear any relationship to how easy it will be to establish breastfeeding?

I really want to breast feed, partly because almose ALL of the women around me (including close family) are really negative about it and are (it seems) determined that I will fail before I've even started. I'm stubborn and would love to prove em all wrong! However, I know that for some people it just doesn't work regardless of what you try and the help you get. Any positive stories out there from non-leaky boobs mums?

while pregnant, i only got one drop on my top at about 38 weeks. my "real" milk came in about 4 days after the birth i think.
i quit bfing totally 2 weeks ago and still leaking!

I don't remember leaking at all while I was pregnant, but as soon as my son starting feeding from them - straight after birth - I leaked a bit everyday. Once my milk came in, about 3 days post birth, I leaked like mad, especially everytime my son cried or if I just got a bit warm. The bath especially made them run like crazy, which is a handy thing to remember if you ever get too big and uncomfortable or they become engorged, it can really release the pressure.

Don't worry about the breastfeeding, most women are able to do it, but sadly most give up before they've really established it. It is very hard in the first couple of weeks, your baby will feed probably every couple of hours and you will be totally exhausted, then add on the sore nipples that you will inevitably get, and it's a really testing time. The best advice is just to battle on and get through it. Persevere with it and you will soon be rewarded, once you get the latch right and your baby starts a good pattern of feeding it will settle down and become really natural but you have to be patient, it won't happen overnight! Good luck x

I never leaked until after Ella was born - Can't stop them now

Last time I never leaked at all through pregnancy. This time im already leaking though :|

I had nothing until lil miss arrived and my milk came in.

nothing during pregnancy apart from yellowy crust.

Your milk doesn't come in until after the baby's born. That's hgw we're designed.

I'm still exclusively breastfeeding 5 months down the line. Never had any supply problems and my baby is healthy happy and putting on weight. So you don't have to leak in pregnancy to be successful at breastfeeding.
