Getting the baby led weaning cookbook by gill rapley and tracey murkett. The recipes are fantastic last night I made homemade burgers and they were lovely and for breakfast I made angel scotch pancakes with grated apple and she loves them and so do I haha :p

I bought that one, been bookmarking the things I want to cook for him!!
xxx

I've been pondering getting this because I read their BLW book. I think I might get it on the ipad though.

The meatloaf is a massive hit in our house :)

I'm making the meatloaf sometime this week so I'll see how that goes :) the recipes in there are perfect as its the sort of stuff we'd eat during the week anyway and it's given me loads of ideas for Angel too :) it's brill x

We did the roast the other week and Ethan loved it! He's having the chilli con carne tonight! Love this book :)

Aw sounds good mum2b I'm not sure what we're doing tonight, it's usually our take away night so I'll whip Angel something up and freeze it most likely :) xx

I really need to get mine back from MIL!! :wall2: xxx

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

DH loved the chicken risotto last night, just need DD to be old enough to eat now.

Ooh I love that recipe! It makes great arincini (sp?) the next day if you take out the big pieces!

Chilli con carne was a BIG hit!

Lauren- we're gonna try the scotch pancakes this week- have u tried them with anything other than the grated apple yet? Thought I might try them plain to start off with then add stuff the next time if he likes them! (cant c y he wont as he loves yorkshire puddings and its basically the same batter!)

Its funny but this book is helping me with my cooking generally!! I hardly ever make anything from scratch but my cooking skills r coming on no end now! Its great :)

That's great mum2b I love cooking form scratch so I'm always in the kitchen now haha nope just with the grated apple for now, might try pear or even squeezing some lemon or orange on it for her :) xx

Squeezed orange sounds good! I did some plain and some with sultanas today and both went down a treat!x

I need to get the book. Can someone post lamb patties recipe pretty please? I have lamb mince in the fridge.

Hmmmm, might take a look at this book then as I am having some problems weaning Joshua. He always wants what we have got so this book seems like it might be ideal for me. Are the recipes really long though? Like, do you have to buy loads of ingredients? I like recipes with as few ingredients as possible to start with. Thanks.

Most of the recipes are short and simple. I've never cooked anything from scratch and I'm managing fine with them.

I think it's great and most of the ingredients are what we usually have around the house and it's like proper home food; what we'd usually cook anyway ie shepherds pie, toad in the hole etc :) xx

Some of the recipes have a fair list of stuff but a lot of the time bits r optional so not as many ingredients as u would think at first glance! I have rarely cooked from scratch before and don't always have the ingredients to hand but meal planning solves this! I sit with the book and plan a weeks dinners and write shopping list at same time! Xx

That's what I do mum2b plan our meals ahead. We made the lamb and mint sausages last night omg they were absolutely gorgeous and so easy to make as well!! They went down well with Angel too :) xx
