I have forgotten so much about BLW, a shopping list would be fab ;)

Eer... I look forward to viewing answers to this one too as we are getting prepared for BLW.

I have no prevous experience, but so far I have bought a steamer and loads of bibs with sleeves. I was going to start with banana (in fact LO already had it once and loved it!), carrot and then perhaps toast...

not sure what you mean by shopping list - equipment or food.

Equipment - highchair, bibs etc. A plate isn't necessary and neither are spoons as the idea is that baby feeds themselves. If you are feeding baby on a carpeted surface a messy mat might be a godsend too.If you want to steam veg (whoich is the best way) then a steamer is needed, but these can be really cheap.

Food - TBH it is what you eat, the idea behind BLW is that they can eat your food with you, and as you have waited till 6 months there are less limits to what they can eat. Obviously you have to watxh salt and sugar content, and avoid foods like honey. I also buy things like rice cakes, organix carrot sticks and biscuits.

Food wise:-

avocado
banana
pear
melon
cheese
grapes
ricecakes
oatcakes
houmous (or makings of)
bread
unsalted butter
raisins/sultanas/dried apricots (I didn't use these til 9 months)
brocolli
carrot

To start with?

We just did as beanie said, I don't really buy anything special in for her apart from apple rice cakes (She loves these) and baby yogurts. Just about everything else is whatever we're having :)

Some of Lola's fave things are

Rice cakes
Banana
Yogurt
Blueberries & grapes but she won't eat the skin that gets spat out
Cheese
Any sort of chicken

Her favorite evening meal is spaghetti bolognese sp?. I think it's because it's the messiest 8)

Right thanks girls, I was doing a tesco shop last night and now I've gone back to it to add more... I'd forgotten pears and rice cakes LOL

I know they can have anything but just needed some better ideas than houmous on toast (which he does love LOL)

I havent tried much but this is what ive brought so far.

Bread (for toast and bread fingers)
Low in salt butter to make the bread yummy!
Cheese spread (his fav on bread fingers)
bread sticks
Cheese (he just likes to pick it up grated)
ham (ripped into small piece for him to pick up)
banana
strawberries
melon (i brought the £1 slices pack from asda coz im lazy so i didnt have to prepare them  )
carrot sticks
he had scrambled egg on toast this morning which he loved so eggs
rusks or teething biscuits
organix crisps
pasta (i brought him the special small baby pasta but he wasnt fussed so i just used the twirl pasta and cut them in half)

I find in asda the kid fruit packs are really good. not quiet sure what they're called just specially made bags of fruit and veggies supposedly for kiddies lunch boxes but i like them as they're quick and easy and brill for a snack when your on the go. good stuff range? is that what they're called?!

Put blueberries on your list as well as my little girl loves them and they are so healthy - they will be easy too eat as there very soft.
