This week I was supposed to be get all new laminate and carpets fitted to the downstairs of my house after we suffered a bit of flooding in June. We didn't think it was that bad because as we the house was flooding we managed to pump the water out of the house.

Well... we have had the old laminate and carpets taken up ready for the new to be fitted and the floorboards have turned black!!!!
It now seems my house is going to have to be gutted and start again!

Sorry I know there are people a lot worse off than me I just needed a rant!

 I really feel for you. We only had the dining room damaged

Will it all be done before christmas?

No I don't think it's going to get started til after Christmas. And I don't think it'll all be finished until just before 'Frank' arrives.

This is OH's fault now he's got me calling my bub Frank

Thats awful :( :( Maybe you could call your insurance people and put the pressure on them because of your impending new arrival?

My house is upside down i can't cope with everything being all over the place i'm such a neat freak.

I hope bare floorboards and stripped walls become the new interior fashion

you should see the state of my place and it's not been flood damaged other than the dining room. It's horrible

 Aww I know there are loads of people miles worse off. I just thought we had been lucky and got away with not much damage.
