Just been an the phone to my bank as I got a letter from them yesterday as they'd flagged a transaction that they thought was fraudulant.

£1 from Apl tunes

Which deffinatly wasn't me, the above was obviously just done to test my card, since then they also tryed to top up a phone and spend £30 on a department store website, luckily these have been stopped.

All were online transactions as I have my card, so they've stopped my card and are sending me a replacement.

Just would like to now figure out were my details were taken from, I always know when I've used my card, mostly online, and most the time I use it are with websites I've used regularly, like catologue payments I've never given details to links through emails.

Well at least it's sorted for now.

Oh dear i really dont understand those people that steal but im glad they didnt get too much money from your account glad you noticed it before they got more

grrr these people drive me mad!

They could have got your details from cash point reciepts, or any bank stuff youve thrown away. We always shred stuff like that, especially after someone went through our bins looking for stuff!

This happened to myself a few months back,

I used an online store to buy PG test & they got my detials

:wall: :wall: :wall:

I had my national insurance number stolen and somehow a fake company applied for car loans in my name. Good job the paperwork got sent to my address. I've also had people claim thousands of pounds in child benefit and tax credits under my name. I took that and the loan applications to the police station, and it took ages to get the inland revenue to sort out my tax thing. I was so worried in case it would affect me claiming for child benefit with this baby, but they'd flagged it up as fraudulant and now it's cleared off my record, so I should be ok (fingers crossed).

DH had his card cloned and im sure it was a dodgy person who worked in asda, she swiped the card instead if putting it in chip n pin machine and it didnt work so she put it in chip n pin thing and it worked. Luckily we got the money back but the bank charged us £35 for going over the over draft  good old HSBC!
