How long does it take for doctors to get results back from blood pregnancy tests? I'm going to the doctors tomorrow but i'm going out for birthday drinks tomorrow night, obviously i want to know if i'm pg before tomorrow night so i know whether to drink or not. Will i get the results on the same day?

Not really sure but i think it depends on thethe hospital. does your bloods have to travel far to get tested ? i know when i get tests done where i live they get sent about 60 miles away to be tested but if i was at the hospital down there u can usually get the results later that day.
If you ask the dcotor then they might give u the hospital number to ring up and find out.

Can you not do a HPT to be sure incase you don't get the results back?

I did a hpt on monday and was bfn, i'll do another tomorrow morning just in case. But i'm now nearly 2 weeks late for af.

when i had mine done last year, it took 5 days and i had them done at my local hospital... sorry hope this helps.
