Hi I'm 7 weeks pregnant and today have experienced pelvic pain and bleeding, I called 111 and a doctor has called me back and has booked me in for a scan on Thurs. Is this normal to wait this long with bleeding and pain to be seen?

Scanning units usually aren't open on weekends so there isn't anything they'd be able to do today I wouldn't have thought, but they should have definitely booked you in for tomorrow. At my hospital we have a unit we can just walk in to and be scanned. Could you call the early pregnancy unit and explain you're bleeding and in pain. I really hope everything's ok xx

Hi thank you for replying, I called up the pregnancy unit and they said to go into A&E the pain has eased a bit but still some bleeding, I remember having bleeding with my first and everything was ok but no bleeding with 2nd. Xx

I really hope everything is ok! Will be keeping an eye on this thread for an update xx

Hope everything is ok. I'd definitely go to a+e and pushed to be scanned. Thursday is far too long to wait. x

They do say some light bleeding or spotting during week 7 is normal and that its old implantation blood. But ifit is infact with pain and it is red then definatly get checked out asap. I hope all goes well for you xx

Bleeding got worse and so did the pain had scan could see sac and baby but no heartbeat and was measuring a week behind. Bleeding has since got much worse and I'm doubled over in pain so def losing the baby
